We require a Healthcare Assistant to work within the Community Nursing Service to provide efficient and effective nursing care to patients in their own homes. The ideal candidate should have experience working within a Health Care setting, be compassionate and able to communicate effectively with patients.

All candidates must have a clean driving license and use of a car for work purposes. Once recruited staff can take advantage of our child care facilities.

Education And Qualifications

Essential

  • oNVQ III or equivalent in relevant area of practice or willingness to undertake.


Knowledge And Understanding

  • oAwareness of own level of knowledge and competency and of when to seek guidance from senior colleagues.


Desirable

  • oUnderstanding the HCA role.


Experience

Essential

  • oExperience of working as part of a team
  • oKnowledge of the provision of care for people with long term conditions and/ or end of life care.

  • oMust be able to demonstrate clear verbal communication skills with patients, carers and staff at all levels
