Waverley ward is a 30 bedded rehabilitation ward comprising spacious single rooms, and four-bedded high visibility areas. . We cater to individuals in need of rehabilitation, end-of-life, and palliative care. The nursing team receives valuable support from physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and social workers, all dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our patients and facilitating their chosen care pathways.
Main duties of the job
As a successful applicant, your role will encompass comprehensive patient care, from admission to discharge, using our efficient electronic record-keeping system. You will provide general nursing care, ensuring each patient receives dignified and respectful treatment. Your involvement in family meetings, ward rounds, and multi-disciplinary team meetings will contribute to decision-making, goal setting, and are planning to ensure a safe return home for our patients.
Flexibility is key, as you will be part of an internal shift rotation, staff are expected to work either days, night shifts weekends and some bank holidays. In return for your dedication, we offer enhanced compensation for unsocial hours, generous holiday entitlement, and a solid pension scheme.

To provide dedicated care to our patients within the inpatients ward, working to maintain all rehabilitation and personal care needs.
To be responsible for the provision of safe care, supporting patients and families within their journey whilst working within the bounds of your NMC registration and Trust policies
To have an understanding of budgets ensuring appropriate use of equipment and sundries with a good understanding of sustainability within the ward areas
To manage own time effectively demonstrating flexibility to meet the needs of the patients and ward.
