Staff Nurse Post Zetland ward, Redcar Hospital. Opportunities to experience care within the community hospital setting for permanent employment if successful.
We are looking to recruit experienced or newly qualified nurses to join our friendly team and positively contribute to continuing our high standards of patient care.
Zetland Ward is a 31 bedded Stroke and elderly care rehabilitation ward providing care for patients with a variety of rehabilitation needs who have also been admitted to hospital following an acute episode of illness. Patients have a range of conditions and can be admitted for palliative care or rehabilitation. The Ward has a mix of 16 Stroke beds and 15 Elderly care beds.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for hard working, highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who can personally deliver a high standard of nursing care. Integral to this role is the ability to effectively communicate with the patient, families and carers, and the multi-disciplinary team including therapists and social services as some patients will require complex discharge planning.
You will be expected to act as a positive role model to junior and unregistered staff, demonstrating an active interest in the development of the ward and working towards maintaining and improving the standards of care.
We pride ourselves on delivering high standards of care and you will need to demonstrate how you will ensure this through your application and as part of the interview process.

You will be expected to attend the leadership development programme, and the Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. This programme aims to:
o Explore leadership within the NHSo Promote Trust Values and Behaviourso Develop your Leadership effectiveness and skillso Practitioner level in quality improvement, equipping you with the skills to champion, lead and complete quality improvement within your role.
After you complete this four and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses dependent upon your role and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
