We have an exciting opportunity to join our diverse team.
Ward MAU is a 25 bed assessment unit with a dedicated seated assessment area. This is an exciting, fast paced and challenging ward to work on, with a fantastic multi-disciplinary team. We receive our patients from the Emergency department when they need further review and admission.
MAU has a total of 25 beds, 1 assessment room and a 4 space seated area.
Patients mainly have a length of stay of < 24 hours and are either discharged or transferred.
Variety of medical conditions under different specialties.

Main duties of the job
The team is led by the Ward Manager, supported by Band 6 Deputies.
A necessity for this role is to have a broad general medicine base. The ideal candidates for these positions would be highly motivated and have a genuine desire to help people in every way they can and also provide the best health care across the board.
You will be required to manage a case load of patients who are admitted to the unit and work alongside the multidisciplinary team to provide a high standard of care to all our patients.
