Barking and Dagenham has an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Health Visitor. If you are a qualified Health Visitor we would like to hear from you. We are looking to recruit a motivated practitioner with initiative and drive who is keen to contribute to the further development of our service. We work in close collaboration with Family Hub's as well as other agencies to improve outcomes and reduce health inequalities for children, young people and their families in our borough.For newly qualified practitioners, we have a Preceptorship Programme in place to aid your development. We also offer a wide range of 'in-house' and other training opportunities for continuous professional development through our learning and development department as well as clinical supervision, mentorship and yearly appraisals.
Main duties of the job
You will need to have the ability to work autonomously and as part of an integrated skill mix team. You need to have excellent communication skills and experience of working in partnership across organisational boundaries. You need to be willing to facilitate and support change in service delivery.
About us
Starting with NELFTNELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

We recognise that taking the vaccine provides the best defence against COVID 19 for our patients, our staff and their families.Probationary PeriodThis post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).High Cost Area Supplement - LondonThis post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary with a minimum payment of �4,313 and a maximum payment of �5,436 per annum (pro rata for part-time).
