Hywel Dda University Health Board are currently looking to recruit a Community Mental Health nurse to join the Community Mental Health Team based at Brynmair Clinic, Llanelli. The post is permanent and various hours will be considered. This post offers an excellent opportunity to work in an interesting and developing service environment. Our services work through an assessment & recovery approach with people accessing secondary mental health services for severe and enduring mental illness.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development of programmes of care and the implementation and evaluation of these programmes of care for a defined clinical caseload including the role of a Care Coordinator within the Care Treatment Planning under the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010. The post holder is required to work without direct supervision for their delegated caseload. The post holder will have effective communication skills and develop positive working relationships between all healthcare professionals, statutory and voluntary agencies, maintaining good communication across all boundaries. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply. Interviews will be held on 08/12/2023.

Qualifications and Knowledge

  • Post-basic education in the area of practice to postgraduate diploma level
  • Post registration experience
