An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide safeguarding leadership, management and expertise to staff within the Trust(s).
To be responsible for the day to day running of integrated safeguarding services within Trust(s), both operationally and managerially.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be an autonomous practitioner.
To be the accountable named professional for your allocated area
To deputise for the Consultant Nurse for Integrated Safeguarding. With responsibility for leading a team of practitioners in safeguarding by supporting them to provide specialist advice, guidance, supervision, resource management and training to all staff members promoting evidence based professional practice.
To be capable of functioning effectively across the four key role domains expert practice leadership and consultancy education and training service development, research and evaluation.
To act as professional role model to front line practitioners, enabling positive safeguarding practices across the Trusts.
To be accountable for taking corrective action to uphold the standards of the Trust. This will include participating in ward accreditations, audit, incident investigation and review, safeguarding enquiries, Safeguarding Adult Reviews and Domestic Homicide reviews.
Work with the Trust(s) Executive Safeguarding Lead, Consultant Nurse for Integrated Safeguarding Services and senior leaders to monitor safeguarding performance indicators.
