14.25 hrs per week (Permanent)
A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a Dental Therapist & Hygienist to work in our busy Orthodontic, OMFS & Restorative Dentistry Department. The ideal person will be an enthusiastic hard working person. The successful candidates must hold a current GDC & have held previous employment in this role.
The candidate will become an integral member of our Multi -Disciplinary team for Head & Neck Cancer & Restorative Dentistry working with support from our Consultant Restorative Dentist & Implantologist. The successful candidate will support patients with Head & Neck Cancer, Hypodontia & Major dental trauma amongst other conditions.
In addition to this, excellent communication & empathetic skills are essential as the patients and family may be experiencing a difficult and sensitive period of time. The successful candidate will need a willingness to build rapport with their patients & families and prioritize and adapt to the patient's needs.

The successful candidate will be expected to work across sites at The James Cook University Hospital & Friarage Hospital.

- Knowledge of range of oral health procedures acquired through training to degree level or diploma level plus experience to degree equivalent level plus specialist training and experience of specific client groups with complex needs or equivalent
