An opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic and innovative nurse to join our Lung health Check team. The aim of the programme is to provide lung health checks for patients residing in Salford age between 55 and 74 who are or have been smokers and where required arrange low dose CT scans
Main duties of the job
The lung health check service provide telephone and face to face clinics operating Monday to Friday 8:00am to 6:00 pm, with face to face clinics taking place at community settings across the city.
Whilst this service is currently provided by Salford Care Organisation, there are plans for all lung health check services to become integrated with the Manchester Foundation Trust becoming the provider organisation.
In addition to being a qualified nurse, the successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate excellent computer/ IT skills to include Microsoft Office Package, and be enthusiastic about the field of lung cancer, smoking cessation and health promotion
Experience in clinical audit and data collection is desirable. You must be able to communicate effectively at all levels, have an understanding of managing your own caseload, demonstrate effective teamwork and participate in ongoing audit programmes.
