Main duties of the job

The Urgent Treatment Centre which is co-located within a busy Emergency Department is looking to expand their existing team of Band 6 Nurses.If you are a highly motivated individual and feel like a fresh challenge, then this may be the role for you. Applicants should have the ability to work autonomously whilst possessing excellent communication skills. You will also be responsible for supporting the team to manage the Single Point of Access lines which allows all professionals to share a single point of contact through our triage system which facilitates urgent and non-urgent referrals direct to specialty. Main duties will include supporting the lead nurse in the daily running of the UTC and GPOOH nursing teams - coordinating rotas, staffing, sickness and absence management. There will be an expectation to provide some clinical cover at times when the service demands.
