This is aunique and exciting opportunity for a senior Nurse leader with aspirations to hone their skills further byexperiencing whole system working and targeted career development,with the aim of becoming a Deputy Chief Nurse.
Reporting to the Chief Nurses, this exciting strategic role requires the ability to influence, engage, develop, and deliver improvements in the transformation of the nursing workforce across the Acute Hospital Alliance comprising of three Trusts. You will also work in collaboration with BSW Academy, relevant Higher and Further Education Institutes, and local communities.
You will be an experienced, compassionate leader who champions new roles, develops new ways of working and encourages skill-mix changes to secure sustainable service delivery across the region. You will innovate and inspire novel recruitment and retention strategies, as well as focus on key developmental pathways to ensure we have a highly skilled workforce.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will lead on all matters in relation to the Staff Methodology Priority Nursing Work stream for the BSW Acute Hospital Alliance. This includes collaborative working with work stream leads for Medical, AHPs and Midwifery. The post holder will also provide leadership and expertise in delivery of the AHA Clinical Strategy, supporting deep dives and transformation and improvement projects.
The post holder will champion new roles, develop new ways of working and skill mix changes to secure sustainable service delivery at a time of service re-design. Identify and support new service models which ensure value for money and promote excellence for the Trust.
The post holder will act as the strategic lead for the commissioning and development of appropriate education and training programmes to deliver the service now and in the future and to deliver the System's objectives.
The post holder will, as a senior corporate nurse, work with the Chief Nurses and Deputy Chief Nurses, leading and supporting on themes within Nursing and Midwifery priorities and initiatives to promote innovation and achieve operational excellence.
