NMGH is an exceptional place to work where you can feel trusted and valued. The Urgent Care Division is looking to recruit an exceptional Directorate Manager to support the development and delivery of Urgent Care and to build on its successes.
Main duties of the job
The Directorate Manager will provide senior leadership and direction as well as strategic and operational management for all staff within their portfolio to ensure the provision of a modern and patient-focused service.The post holder will ensure that all resources allocated to the Directorate and its services are used efficiently and effectively and will be responsible for performance management and improvement within their areas of responsibility.The post holder will work interdependently with both clinical and non-clinical teams to develop and promote systems to ensure that safe services are provided in line with best practice guidelines and policy. The post holder will also promote a culture that focuses on the provision of high-quality patient-centred services. Fundamental within this role is a responsibility to ensure that there is a relevant system for performance management for all aspects of change processes and team development.The post holder will support the Divisional Director by taking lead responsibility for Departmental patient flow, operational aspects of business, financial, activity and performance management as well as the strategic planning of all aspects of the business agenda. The post holder will be responsible for initiating any necessary action to ensure that the service is delivered within the budget available, and for negotiating and managing income streams.

- As part of the triumvirate team working with the Directorate Clinical Lead and Lead Nurse you are responsible for leading the development of the Urgent Care Directorate within the Division to deliver a high quality patient focused service.
- To work closely with the Divisional Management Team and triumvirate to ensure optimum and high-level ongoing performance in line with corporate objectives and evidence based best
