You will be looking to join a dynamic and exciting workplace to provide spiritual care to staff and service users within SHFT. Whilst based at Lymington Hospital you will be supporting the wider Chaplaincy Service for inpatient physical health this will include Fordingbridge and Romsey Hospitals.

You will be responsible for the day to day delivery of compassionate spiritual care to persons of all spiritual traditions. You will receive local and professional line management support to enable you to build the chaplaincy profile You will deliver spiritual care to the national standards of the UKBHC.

The post holder is responsible for the operational management of the Chaplaincy team's activities on a day-to-day basis in order to provide comprehensive support across the wards within the units, to meet their changing needs.

We are looking for someone that has relevant experience of Band 6 chaplaincy and will locally support chaplaincy staff. You need to be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, be organised and possess strong IT skills, and be experienced and proficient in the use of Microsoft packages including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

As a team player, you'll be able to prioritise your work in order to meet deadlines and have a service user focused approach. Previous experience of working in the Palliative Care and End of Life Care specialism or the NHS is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Main duties of the job

To provide a comprehensive multi-faith Chaplaincy Service to SHFT

To contribute as part of a multidisciplinary team ensuring high standards of spiritual care and pastoral support are received by staff, service users and their carers.
