An opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic, experienced ICT Applications Support Officer to provide application support for the trust's clinical systems at The James Cook University Hospital and Friarage Hospital.
The role will assist colleagues in the ICT Application support function with the application support for all systems. These systems include but are not limited to PEP, CaMIS, E-CaMIS, Web Ice, APEX, Smartcards and Symphony.
The successful applicant must have an excellent working knowledge of IT clinical systems, desktops and have a flexible approach to their duties with the ability to work as part of a team and have sufficient confidence and skills to work independently, they must have an enthusiastic interest in future service development.
Main duties of the job
Whilst this role will be working on several clinical systems, in the first instance the majority of the work will be on the new PEP / Dr Doctor system which is being introduced into the organisation. The successful applicant must have considerable experience working with clinical systems and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are also essential as you will deal with internal and external suppliers and produce documentation to a high standard.

- Substantial experience of managing IT systems and applications in a large user based working environment.
- Substantial experience of using specialist electronic IT healthcare systems.
- Substantial experience of accessing major corporate clinical systems.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Unix, SQL and share point.

- Educated to degree level in a suitable or appropriate professional qualification or extensive working experience in a related ICT technical environment.
