The Occupational Health & Wellbeing department have the opportunity to welcome a Band 5 nurse to join their clinical team at the Royal Cornwall hospital with experience in Dermatology ideally. The post holder will undertake a range of clinical activities including Skin assessments, immunisation assessments and administration as well as occupational health screening requirements. The post holders will contribute to the delivery of services on both NHS and non-NHS customers.
Main duties of the job
You will undertake a variety of clinical duties which will include, health screening activities (eg Spirometry, audiometry), venepuncture as well as administration of occupational related immunisations and Skin assessments.
The post holders will be required to drive throughout Cornwall Providing clinic visits, therefore a full UK driving licence is essential for the post.
This is a Full time post (37.5 hours per week)

Post registration experience in Dermatology, with sound clinical knowledge and evidence based practice
Up to date knowledge and understanding of the NHS strategy and agenda, national directives, other Department of Health and Health & Safety Executive legislation and all governance aspects with a specific emphasis on workplace health and well-being
Knowledge of SEQOHS standards and requirements for accreditationAwareness of Health & Safety law, and able to demonstrate an understanding of risk assessment, its uses and implications together with associated health and safety implications
Understanding of clinical audit, IT Literate. Awareness of current Occupational Health & Wellbeing issues
Be willing to undertake further specialist training appropriate to this job as required.
Be able to problem solve and make decisions with a strong sense of customer focus
