Working with the Care Group Director making key connections between Our Journey to Change, the business plan, the governance systems of the Trust through good quality and highly effective staff engagement and communication. Embracing the voice of people in our local communities, improving people's experience of care and support and delivering the transformation of mental health services through strong partnership working.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will hold operational responsibility for their designated area to ensure services deliver the best possible health outcomes for adults accessing mental health support and treatment. They will provide line management support to operational/service managers and professional leads, ensuring Trust standards are maintained.

In line with the launch of our new management and leadership structures, Tees, Esk and Wear Valley NHS Foundation Trust are seeking a General Manager for Adult Mental Health Services which includes inpatient and community services, to work across our Durham Tees Valley and Forensic Care group board (DTVF). An integral part of the new Care Group structure, this new and exciting post aligns with our 'Journey to Change' strategy, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective clinical services.
The General Management tier is a senior collective level of leadership with the purpose of operating as the nexus between clinical and operational leadership. Decision making is devolved and leadership is there to cultivate the talents of those within the Care Group, to optimise the quality of care and to ensure that the strategy of the Trust is delivered.
The post holder will have shared accountability and responsibility for operational services, ensuring they provide the highest quality outcomes and experience for service users and carers, and make sure that strategic objectives are set and achieved. They are also responsible for ensuring the culture of our services is built upon the Trust Values, which are fundamental to the success of our Journey to Change and the three big goals we are committed to achieve as we navigate transformation:
