We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Health Visitor to work within our Flying Start multi-agency team. Managing a caseload within a defined population with the overarching aims of increasing family resilience, improving population health outcomes and reducing health inequalities whilst safeguarding the wellbeing of children.
Flying Start Health Visitor Vacancy 37.5 hours - Wrexham area Band 6 Permanent contract.

Main duties of the job
Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative Health Visitor to join our Flying Start Health Visiting Service in the Wrexham area, North Wales. We are looking for a self-motivated team player who has excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. To work with a multi-agency Flying Start team to achieve the Welsh Assembly Government initiative scheme, targeting Communities in need to provide enhanced local services within a multi-agency setting.
The post holder will manage a defined caseload in addition to facilitating group and community work that aims to address Health inequalities in partnership with the wider multi-skilled team. They will undertake assessment of needs, planning, implementing and evaluating the programme of care offered to families and individuals. In addition, the post holder will contribute to the public health role in line with government public health initiatives.
Candidates must hold a degree or equivalent in Health Visiting (or on a current SCPHN Health Visiting course) with current NMC registration and nurse prescribing qualification. Experience is preferable but may be newly qualified.
The Health Board offers an Induction Course and ongoing Clinical Supervision and support from its Safeguarding Children Team and opportunities for in house training.
