This is a once in a generation opportunity to be involved in a major hospital development and we are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Engagement Manager to join our team and help to take our scheme forward.

The postholder will be comfortable operating in an environment of significant complexity and ambiguity, and be adept at fostering collaboration within the operating environment as well as demonstrating good judgement, offering guidance and support. They will role model behaviours that live our organisational values of collaboration, even-handedness, involvement, and impact, and encourage similar behaviours in colleagues.

Main duties of the job

The Senior Engagement Manager is a challenging role that requires high levels of confidence, aptitude and diplomacy as well as exceptional professional skills and expertise. The role spans both strategic development and operational delivery and the post holder will be supported to excel in both.

The Senior Engagement Manager will report to the Senior Programme Manager with a dotted line to the Trust's Patient Experience Team to ensure alignment between the programme and business as usual activity.

The postholder will be responsible for developing and embedding a framework for engagement, equality and inclusion that will ensure that people are involved at the right time, to maximise the benefits of lived experience in the development of our new hospital building.

They will work with a range of colleagues from across the PMO, in the Trust, through our strategic partnerships, and in wider networks to engage, collaborate, share best practice and learn from others, with the purpose of developing and maintaining the highest standards of engagement pracitce across the programme.
