Main duties of the job
The Head of Corporate Governance is an influential, senior leadership position within the department and a member of the wider Senior Leadership Team (SLT) of the organisation. An experienced, corporate governance professional, the post-holder is responsible for the performance and direction of the team, working collaboratively with Trust Board members, Governors and leaders at all levels of the Trust.

The Trust Board, its Committees and the Executive TeamSupporting the Chair and Chief Executive in running effective and efficient meetings that deliver results and satisfaction for all. Membership and the Council of GovernorsCultivating an engaged and representative membership that yields a diverse, inclusive, and effective Council of Governors. Legal servicesKeeping everyone safe by facilitating legal advice from our partner solicitors and ensuring effective representation at inquests and with legal claims. Leading the teamBuilding an effective and forward looking team that ensures the Trust's continued success.
The post holder will deputise, where appropriate, for the Director of Corporate Governance in their absence.
