You will be involved with the management of patients with complex haemato-oncological malignancies (e.g. CAR-T therapy and BMTs). We have a significant presence in the outpatient clinics and the medical day units and are respected and valued as key members of the MDT and work closely with world renowned experts.The Royal Marsden recently implemented a new EPIC digital health record which has transformed the way that patients and healthcare professionals engage with each other and has helped to provide a streamlined service for everyone.Previous experience of oncology is desirable but not essential. This role provides a clinical pharmacy service to private care patients in all areas of the hospital whilst also concentrating on developing and enhancing the individual's knowledge and skills, and providing the depth of experience required to progress towards a more specialised post in oncology/haemato-oncology pharmacy.
To provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care, contributing to the multidisciplinary team for clinical units as required, through ward pharmacy services and divisional support.
To attend all relevant events such as Registrar/Consultant rounds/unit meetings as appropriate for the rotation.
To respond appropriately to requests from medical and nursing staff for information and advice about the selection and use of drug therapy.Take part in audit and project work to support medicines optimisation at the Trust.About us
