Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory at the southernmost tip of the Iberian Peninsula, easily reached in just over 2 hours (flying time) from London, Bristol or Manchester airports. The post is based at the St Bernard’s Hospital, located by the waterfront, overlooking the straits of Gibraltar and Northern Africa. The GHA invites applications for the post of Neonatal Nurse Practitioner from individuals with a Neonatal Practitioners Masters, at least 2 years’ experience in the NICU, current RN licence, and who have completed/are completing post registration study relevant to Neonatal Services.
Job Overview:
The Neonatal Nurse practitioner is an advanced practice nurse who functions in the role of expert clinician, educator, and expert consultant serving as the primary care giver to new born infants in NICU in collaboration with the Clinical Director for Paediatrics.
In collaboration with the medical and nursing staff, the Neonatal Nurse practitioner has operational responsibility for providing clinical and professional leadership in the running of the Neonatal intensive care service. They will also be accountable for the delivery of standards of care provided to infants with complex health issues as well as educating and supporting parents and guardians in the care of their new-born infants by designing safe and effective treatment / care plans.
Main Duties:
The neonatal nurse practitioner role also entails collaboration with the multi-disciplinary healthcare team to provide clinical expertise and education for patient management to ensure successful infant care within the GHA.

Remuneration:
Salary, according to experience, ranges from: - £42,439 to £50,658 per annum, plus allowances.
This appointment will be on indefinite terms on successful completion of a 12 months’ probationary period.
Return economy class air-fares from the UK are payable in full. In addition, a rented accommodation allowance of £350 is payable, solely whilst on a fixed- term contract and upon submission of an official rent agreement.
