We are seeking a Band 5 Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist to join our Integrated Community Team (ICT).

Lower Lea Valley ICT has its base in Cheshunt, Herts, and delivers effective and efficient therapy and nursing services to the local population of Cheshunt and surrounding arears. The team provides holistic care for a wide variety of long and short term needs in patients' own homes and residential settings. The service includes community therapy rehabilitation, prevention of hospital admission, falls assessment, frailty clinics and long COVID intervention. Occupational Therapists work closely within the ICT and are supported by their therapy and nursing colleagues locally and by the Therapy and AHP networks in HCT.

This role would suit a final year Occupational Therapist student, looking for their first role in the NHS.

Main duties of the job

This post is suitable for a newly qualified or returning to practice candidate who is looking to develop their knowledge and skills within a friendly and creative team. Support is readily available and a supervision and CPD structure is in place and encouraged by HCT. You will receive professional guidance and direction from senior Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists. As part of your development, there are opportunities to experience colleagues working in a range of partner settings, and to develop your supervisory skills with Therapy Support Workers and students.

It is also essential to hold a full valid driving licence and have access to a car to use regularly for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

You will be required to complete electronic patient records (training provided).

Changes in national legislation require all health care workers entering Residential Care Homes to be double vaccinated. As this role involves providing care into Residential Care Homes all applicants will be asked to provide evidence of their vaccination status to ensure compliance.

The position is full time (37.5 hours per week) but in line with our flexible working approach we welcome applications for part time contracts. A seven day working pattern will be required to cover weekends and bank holidays on a rostered basis.
