Due to the current post holder's promotion we have an exciting opportunity to join our inspirational ward team on Ward C8 which is a 20 bedded Acute Respiratory Ward. The successful post holder will demonstrate strong leadership qualities and have a passion for improving the patient and relative experience in addition to having a sound clinical knowledge base. In addition to this, you will possess well developed communication skills that will be used to engage, inspire and motivate both staff and patients in the clinical area. Good time management skills are essential, as is the ability to prioritise your workload. The focus for the post holder will be in the following key areas: Provide nurse leadership, improvement, and management of services within this acute ward setting in order to ensure the highest standards of patient care and service are delivered in the most efficient and effective way. Be a confident role model for the junior nursing team. Ensure improvements in patient outcomes and the safety, treating patients with dignity and respect. Ensure best practice in infection control. In conjunction with the Ward Manager ensure all quality improvement work is implemented and sustained. Ensure safe and effective discharge planning. Support the provision of a clean environment

- First Level Registration Qualification in specialty to diploma/degree level, or willingness to undertake study
- Appropriate Teaching assessing certificate

- Previous experience in speciality.
- Experience of recent employment in a pre-registration student nurse area.
