Main duties of the job
- Facilitating the assessment and delivery of care to children and young people with a range of care needs within a 24/7 service
- Providing effective evidence-based, high quality care for patients
- Working closely with the Multidisciplinary Team
- Developing or maintaining enhanced clinical skills such as paediatric venepuncture and cannulation
- Providing clinical and leadership support to a team of sisters and senior sister
- Supporting junior staff and students

- Degree level education or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through any combination of alternative study, or employment experience
- Professional UK registration e.g. NMC, HPC
- Computer Literate
Experience & Knowledge

- Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD) clearly recorded for professional profile
- Completed clinical placements in a variety of areas
- Knowledge of the management of in-patients and outpatients including evidence based strategies2
- Knowledge and experience of a range of approaches to the management of patients utilising clinical reasoning.
- Multidisciplinary team working
- Understanding of Health Environment policies and legislation including Clinical, HR, E& D, Governance
