This is a key role within the corporate leadership team of the Trust, and a core member of the Chief Strategy and Partnerships Officer's (CSPO) team alongside the Strategy, We Care and Efficiency functions of the organisation.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will hold the delegated trust wide digital transformation and IT portfolio on behalf of the CSPO and be operationally responsible for the 130 wte that makes up the IT team. The responsibilities of the post holder will include the development and implementation of the digital transformation agenda and ensuring that all digital services meet the Trust's operational requirements.

The post holder will work alongside the Chief Clinical Information Officer and the Chief Nursing Information Officer to ensure that systems and processes are focused on supporting the delivery of safe and effective services to the population of East Kent.

Qualifications and Training

Essential

  • Masters level qualification or equivalent experience including relevant digital qualifications.
  • Substantial continued professional development


Desirable

  • Masters Level Qualification


Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Experience of leading technology transformation and innovation to support strategic priorities
  • Experience of running large, complex �multi- million programmes.
  • Knowledge of architectural design and strategic planning skills.
  • A pragmatic and independent thinker with experience of delivering strategic direction
  • ability to communicate and collaborate across teams, working with partners and teams to deliver solutions to organisational needs
  • An extensive track record of delivering and enabling large-scale complex change programmes


Desirable

  • Evidence of delivery of digital transformation in the health sector


Governance

Essential

  • Demonstrable evidence of successfully delivering high quality, customer focussed services.
  • An in depth understanding of IT strategy, business technology and its application in a complex service environment including clinical risk management and GDPR rules
