An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our regional Hyperacute Stroke Unit at Salford Royal Hospital, delivering care to patients who have experienced a Stroke.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated adult nurse with a passion for delivering high standards of care. The Unit receives patients from throughout the Greater Manchester region, accepting transfers in and out and therefore excellent communication skills are essential.
Main duties of the job
The team has a multi-disciplinary focus in order to ensure that patients are supported throughout their inpatient stay. HASU is a SCAPE accredited ward achieved through the Salford Royal Nursing Assessment and Accreditation System.
You will be supported on the ward by the wide range of the MDT members and a supportive preceptorship period.
You will be able to:-o Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skillso Aspire to deliver excellent standards of careo Be able to work collaboratively with all members of the MDTo Demonstrate a high level of compassion for patients and their relatives

You'll have access to a wide range of learning opportunities and state of the art facilities, including seminar rooms, an IT suite, a library, skills labs and an on-site simulation suite. You'll also have access to CPD to help take your career in the right direction.
Be supported to develop the competence and confidence you need as an effective, independent healthcare professional. You'll receive a full induction programme, benefit from classroom-based training and clinical skills assessments. Newly qualified nurses will also benefit from our 12 month preceptorship programme supported by our dedicated Practice Development Team. You will also receive support from our senior nursing team and highly specialised nurses.
