We are looking for a highly motivated band 5 staff nurse who has an interest in continence. The successful candidate should have excellent care values, a strong sense of team spirit and is keen to develop their skills, delivering high quality patient centred care in this exciting area.
The post holder will be working with the lead continence nurse,
Act as a specialist in continence, and a core member of the Harm free care and Care of elderly team.
In conjunction with the continence lead, provide professional and clinical leadership in several aspects of continence issues.
To support the lead continence specialist nurse with management of patient referrals to continence problems.
In conjunction with the continence Nurse Specialist to review current treatments, resources use, monitor the outcomes and cost effectiveness of care provision.
To support the continence nurse specialist with training and education programmes about continence to all levels of staff and disciplines. Focusing on ward-based training, OSCE, Care certificate trainings.
The post holder you will be expected to work 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
Main duties of the job
It would be expected that the post holder will ensure the delivery of high-quality patient centred care, whilst supporting the nursing and clinical teams.
The post holder must demonstrate current personal development, and a passion for continence care delivery.
The successful candidate should be forward thinking and have a passion for nursing and striving for clinical excellence.
