Lead and manage the Paediatric Audiology service covering all areas, including hearing screening services, in Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB), providing expert knowledge on paediatric audiology. Provide a comprehensive, safe, efficient and effective service, in line with or exceeding national quality standards and best practice. Take responsibility for clinical service improvement, clinical governance, service development activity, audit and research activities in this area of Audiology, and the delivery of in-house continuing professional development and interagency work.
Main duties of the job
Work autonomously to provide highly specialised assessment and rehabilitation within Clinical Paediatric Audiology services.
Take responsibility for ensuring the training, competency and supervision of more junior colleagues and trainees. Provide expert advice, opinions and training to own and other professions in Paediatric Audiology assessment.
Provide statistical information on waiting lists and demand to support the department management in maintaining referral-to-treatment targets.
Represent ABUHB by participating in national strategic groups and projects related to Paediatric Audiology and ensure that ABUHB is providing a modern and progressive paediatric Audiology service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
