An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the Inpatient Therapy Department at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust as part of #TeamWestHerts at Watford Hospital.
The ideal candidate will be an integral part of our Physiotherapy Respiratory and ITU team. The post is static and would be suitable for an experienced Band 5 demonstrating a good range of rotational experience, or current Band 6 who would like to further develop their specialist skills in ITU and respiratory medicine.
Main duties of the job
The post would also offer the candidate the opportunity to supervise more junior team members, participate within service development projects and contribute to the Team and Department's well-established in-service training programme(s) and opportunities to represent Physiotherapy in MDT forums.
We have a strong MDT focus on ITU and on the respiratory wards and we are a forward-thinking team as to how best to develop services to benefit the patients care. You will be encouraged to take an active role in quality improvement/audit projects across the department.
About us
There has never been a more exciting time to join West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust! Major redevelopment works are due for completion by 2025 or soon after. These will be most dramatic at Watford General Hospital where up to 90% of buildings will be new.
The trust has recently gained 'teaching hospital' status which reflects the dedicated work of many teams and individuals who have set the standard for delivering high quality training, learning and education at all levels of the workforce.
We encourage and welcome people with disabilities. If you need help, please ask.
We reserve the right to close this advert early due to the volume of applicants. Please apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
If you do not hear back within 3 weeks of your application, please assume you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.
