We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Registered Dietitian to join our all age Community Nutrition Service. We are a friendly team of dietitians working to deliver high quality nutritional care across the city of Trafford.

The successful applicant will support the management of a varied caseload of clients who require nutritional support and tube feeding in a variety of settings supported by senior clinicians. This will include both adults and pediatrics. There will also be an opportunity to hold general clinics across Trafford. Multidisciplinary working and a patient centred approach is integral to meeting the clients' needs and there is ample opportunity to be involved in service development.

Previous experience in community working is essential and you will be supported with clinical supervision and professional development. Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will work across Trafford Community supporting patients in their own homes, residential / nursing home or clinic settings. This post is to cover both adults and paediatrics Our caseload includes support for patients with a variety of different clinical conditions, for example cancer, dementia, respiratory diseases, gastrointestinal conditions and age related illnesses. We also work closely with our community colleagues across the MDT including district nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapist and speech and language therapy colleagues to provide high quality patient care.

Strong communication and time management skills are essential to allow you to independently manage a caseload, but we will support via clinical supervision and support from other dietitians and team leaders. Team working skills are also key and we take a whole team approach to supporting and growing the dietitians in the team.

You will be involved with dietetic student training and supporting the development of the next generation of the dietetic workforce.
