Job Title: Band 5 MSK Physiotherapist
Hours: 37.5
Tenure: Permanent
Base: North Hykeham, Lincoln
We have an exciting new job opportunity at Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) for a Band 5 MSK Physiotherapist. The post will be based in North Hykeham, Lincoln and is suitable for any newly qualifying Physiotherapist or an existing Band 5 Physiotherapist wanting to gain further experience of Musculoskeletal Services.
Main duties of the job
The physiotherapy team offers an Any Qualified Provider MSK Physiotherapy service to the GP practices of Lincolnshire. The post, therefore, provides an ideal opportunity to further develop assessment and treatment skills in physiotherapy intervention, and to develop leadership and management skills. The team is involved with providing student placements for a number of Universities, so there will be opportunity to develop ongoing clinical supervision skills.
About us
Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust is in the top 25 per cent of all community trusts for overall staff engagement in the 2021 NHS National Staff Survey.
At LCHS, we know diversity fosters creativity and innovation. We are committed to equality of opportunity, to being fair and inclusive, and to being a place where all belong. We therefore particularly encourage applications from candidates who are likely to be underrepresented in LCHS' workforce.
LCHS recognises the increasing demand for more flexibility in working practices in order to accommodate the personal goals and commitments that employees experience at different stages during their working lives. Flexible working opportunities such as part-time working, compressed hours, job shares, and hybrid working models can help staff to balance their personal and work commitments. Arrangements can be put in place if it can be shown that the needs of the individual can be balanced with those of the service and the impact on other team members, enabling the Trust to recruit and retain skilled staff, raise staff morale, reduce absenteeism and respond to changing service needs more effectively.
We are an ambassador of a learning culture that will support the right individual to progress in their chosen career through an 'earn while you learn' apprenticeship programme. Job description
Job responsibilities
This post will involve some working in lone clinics. However, our team has a robust and flexible supervision structure to keep our staff fully connected and supported in their roles, and to minimise isolation. We also run a regular in-service training programme and offer opportunities for funded training courses when required.
Within Lincolnshire, the role of First Contact Physiotherapy is being developed. This post will provide the opportunity to work alongside these FCP and will offer the chance to consider development into these roles in the future.
As part of a County-wide team, this post requires the ability to travel between locations to carry out work at varying clinics, and to attend training and meetings daily access to transport is therefore essential. Applications for part-time hours are welcomed, with working hours and clinic locations negotiable for successful candidates.
