An unmissable opportunity has arisen to join the Royal Surrey Quality Team as a Senior Quality Governance Facilitator. This position is part of the team specifically supporting Trust's quality improvement and governance agenda and the delivery of the National Patient Safety Strategy.
As well as be an inspirational line manager to a dedicated team of governance facilitators the role will also provide dedicated support to the urgent care teams within one of the 6 divisions that make up the Trust divisional Structure.
In support of the Head of Quality Governance & Risk manager and Head of Patient Safety the post holder will take responsibility for leading on all aspects of Clinical Governance, Risk Management and Patient Safety across all Trust sites.
The post holder will lead the Trust's governance, risk and patient safety agenda ensuring that systems and processes are designed to meet the Trust's statutory responsibilities and fully implemented.
Although the role would suit a healthcare professional, non-healthcare professionals will be considered, however the right candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge of clinical governance, audits, patient safety agendas, great attention to detail, fairness in investigation and management of complaints and incidents.
The role will be responsible for ensuring that robust governance and risk systems are in place and that effective learning and continuous development takes place across the organisation.
Main duties of the job
Deputise for the Head of Quality Governance & Risk, Head of Patient Safety and Quality as required band work closely with the Associate Director, Quality Governance & Risk, Head of Risk and Audit in leading clinical quality and the Clinical Governance Agenda within the hospital
line-manage the small team of Quality Governance Facilitators
Initiate the investigation of Incidents in a timely manner and support staff in the collaboration, collation and submitting investigation in line with PSIRF
The post holder will also be expected to produce regular reports in line with the work of the Quality and Safety Team.
