An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Major Trauma & Critical Care senior leadership team as Service Manager.

Main duties of the job

You will fulfil a pivotal role within the diverse and expanding services. You will work directly for and with the Directorate Management Teams and support the delivery of high-quality tertiary care across the regions.

Your primary responsibility will be for the operational and business management of the Major Trauma & Critical Care Directorate and the services it provides both locally and Network wide. You will be responsible for the management of administrative staff across both services and will have the opportunity to support the development of the service through establishing productive relationships with internal and external colleagues. You will oversee, monitor and manage data linked to activity, working closely with internal and external colleagues to ensure a robust dataset is maintained.

You will be based within University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.

This role provides the opportunity to develop a wide range of managerial skills as well as the opportunity to improve the quality of care provided to patients, supported by data.
