We are looking for a strong, motivated and organised individual to lead a brand new Neurosurgical Operational Delivery Network (ODN) covering the Northwest of England. This new network will develop and grow over future months, working closely between the three Neurosurgical Centres in the NW of England (based in Salford, Liverpool and Preston) to agree and deliver a workplan that satisfies the national commissioning agenda for this service area, and helps improve service delivery for patients requiring Neurosurgical care.

You will have a strong track record of delivery together with an uncompromising focus on quality, service improvement and collaboration.

This post, and the network, will be hosted by Salford Care Organisation (part of the Northern Care Alliance) but will work closely between the Neurosurgical centres and commissioners.

Main duties of the job

As a Network Manager for the Neuro Surgery Network, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective network, supporting clinicians and commissioning managers and staff across the North West region in monitoring and reporting the performance of the services, and creating local action plans to maintain access for all patients within the region.

The post holder will lead the provision of an efficient, effective and high quality professional and well-co-ordinated neurosurgery network capable of meeting all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements, ensuring alignment with the activity of the organisation.

The post holder will define current processes, facilitate discussions and advise colleagues as to how best practice might be adopted in the definition of future processes, document those processes as they are agreed and oversee their delivery.
