The Radiology Directorate at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital site are seeking to appoint a Waiting List Manager to manage and monitor the various waiting lists within the directorate in line with local and national targets.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate experience of using clinical IT systems to retrieve data and act upon it producing reports and then acting upon them, along with demonstrating that they have signification experience in waiting list management.
The ability to self direct and manage multiple priorities along with excellent communication skills and a diligent and accurate approach in completing work is essential. You will be direct Line Management for the bookings team, spending time with Radiology teams across sites where necessary.
You will be joining a busy, forward thinking directorate in one of the largest NHS trusts and as such you will be supported to develop and progress in the role. In return for your skills and experience, you'll be given full support to develop you through an annual appraisal and access to a variety of in-house training and development opportunities.Previous applicants need not apply.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will be responsible for oversight and management of the waiting lists across all imaging modalities, across all sites.
Monitoring of radiology bookings and waiting list data is an essential part of this role and the post holder will be expected to interrogate and validate waiting list breaches and feed back to the Operations Manager as part of the weekly report system.
The post holder will be based at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and will lead and line manage both the Radiology booking and scheduling team and reception teams based on site at RMCH. The post holder will also occasionally be based at other sites within the trust. This includes both staff and system management.
Contribution and support for the modernisation of booking processes on site will form a key part of this role.
