Junior Sister/Charge Nurse
�38,768 - �46,124 per annum incl. HCAS

An exciting opportunity has arisen for nurses who are looking for career development opportunities to join our General Medicine/ Care of the Elderly at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital as a Band 6 Junior Sister/ Charge Nurse. This is a fixed term post for 12 months
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic nurse with an interest in developing their leadership skills to join our existing team to continue to provide the highest quality patient care. We welcome applications from nurses that have at least 2 years acute hospital experience at a band 5 level, and with a keen interest in elderly care and the development of their professional nursing career. Our teams are motivated, committed and creative and want to develop in order to provide the best care we can.
As a division we offer band specific development pathways in house. The Trust also offers an in-house leadership course and specific training to develop your management & advanced clinical skills relevant to the area. . Mentors will be allocated and ward manager and practice development support is in place.

Supporting and guiding junior colleagues, acting as a role model for student nurses.
Deputising for the ward manager in their absence.

- NMC Registration
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a band 5 Registered Nurse
- Post-registration teaching/mentorship qualification
- Knowledge of caring for patients with Non-Invasive Ventilation
- Knowledge of caring for patients with Tracheostomy
Desirable
- Experience and Knowledge in palliative care
- Previous experience in managing Acute Respiratory conditions
- ILS trained
