Job Summary
The post holder will be able to perform a broad range of Cardiac Investigation procedures in the Cardiology diagnostic field to a highly competent and professional standard.
The post holder will possess a degree of specialist knowledge and skills and have experience in one or more specialist areas within Cardiac Physiology -including pacing and echocardiography.
Main duties of the job
1. Provide specialist knowledge and skills in a range of Cardiac Investigations rotating in Invasive and non-invasive Cardiology.2. To perform the diagnostic tests and interpret results to produce an accurate and comprehensive report to the required standard for each study.3. Provide advice to patients regarding outcome of clinical procedures and next steps in care pathways.4. Provide specialist advice to clinicians with regard to procedure results to enable further development of individual care plans.5. Help to provide supervision and training to junior staff and other health care professionals.6. Actively maintain a safe working environment in accordance with hospital guidelines and policies and help to ensure junior staff work to these guidelines.
