The Lung Oncology Specialist Nurse Practitioner post is an exciting new opportunity for a nurse with extensive demonstrable experience as a senior nurse in cancer care to join a great team of motivated and enthusiastic lung cancer nurse specialists' who believe in delivering excellent specialist care to lung cancer patients and their carers.

The post holder will work with supervision of the Lung Oncology ACP and alongside the Lung Cancer CNS Team (Oncology) to help development nurse led services for patients who are having various oncological treatments for primary and metastatic lung cancer.

Working in collaboration with the Lead Nurse /ACP for Lung oncology and the lung oncologists they will develop the role to incorporate independent practice and prescribing to improve the follow up of patients on long term treatment plans. The post holder will have full support from the oncology medical team and ACP

***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***

Main duties of the job

• Undertake oncology nurse-led clinics including non-medical prescribing. The post holder will be supported to complete relevant courses for example clinical assessments and non medical prescribing.
• Provide a specialist nursing service for oncology patients
• Act as an expert resource and facilitator, educator
• Undertake audit and evaluation and develop policies and procedures as required.
• To work as an integrated member of oncology, CNS team and MDT
