Cardiff and Vale UHB are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and skilled individual to join the Chief Operating Officer's team as Performance and Planning Manager.
The post holder will be a key role within the Operations Team, providing high level, high quality business and managerial leadership to enable the Chief Operating Officer and their senior management team to carry out their functions effectively.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking someone with a proven track record of delivery. The post holder will play a key role in the development of the UHBs performance management tools which will be used to support the development and use of activity, performance and quality dashboards. The post holder will be responsible for developing and presenting internal and external business intelligence to inform service improvement planning.
The post holder will play a leading role in ensuring effective systems are set up and maintained to monitor activity commissioned from external providers, liaising with external providers and Clinical Boards accordingly. This will include responsibility for ensuring activity commissioned is within the financial envelope agreed and managing the allocated budget.
The post holder will hold responsibility for the delivery of a number of projects and programmes of work. They will be required to organise a broad range of complex projects across performance, planning and service improvement. A series of annual Health Board wide responsibilities will form part of the core role, these include providing leadership for the development of the UHB winter plan and UHB wide Demand and Capacity planning.
To be responsible for the preparation of relevant briefings to both internal and external stakeholders, including Management Executive and Board.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
