We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who can demonstrate a commitment to patient-centred care. You will need to be an experienced adult registered nurse with excellent leadership, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be dynamic, proactive and innovative in their approach to work, in order to facilitate excellence in multi-disciplinary working and ensure that patients move efficiently and effectively through the system to enable rapid discharge home.

Job responsibilities

You will be fully competent in the RCN Emergency Nurses competency tool level 1. You will be confident in managing areas of a department and be able to develop into running the main department.

You will need to have the skills and abilities to deliver high standards of care and have the resilience to meet the challenges of our busy and stimulating work environment. You should be self-motivated, an excellent communicator and have proven organisational and clinical skills.

Person Specification

Essential

Essential

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
  • ENB 998 or other mentorship qualification Minimum of 2 years relevant post basic clinical experience
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Previous experience at a senior level(band 6 or above) within a similar speciality


Desirable

  • Knowledge of Emergency Department work
  • Knowledge of patient flow processes
