We are looking for a nurse with experience of caring for respiratory patients to join our busy and growing Research Team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.You will take over the existing respiratory research portfolio and build it further. You will be responsible for the recruitment, education and monitoring of the research participants will undertake clinical assessments and facilitate the accurate collection and documentation of research data.

To be part of a dynamic team of research delivery staff providing a comprehensive clinical trial/research study support service for the Trust, focusing on delivery of research to patients with respiratory conditions. The role will involve the recruitment, education and monitoring of respiratory research participants and the collection and documentation of accurate data. You will assist medical staff with the recruitment and consent of patients and be the first point of contact for both patients and their families once enrolled for many studies.
In addition to clinic/patient-based tasks, you will be involved in data collection, adherence to Good Clinical Practice and Research Governance and assisting in the continued improvement in the care of research participants throughout their trial experience.
There will also be a requirement to support research activity in other specialities depending on the demands on the service.About us

Following your Corporate Induction you will be expected to attend the Trusts 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme is full-time (please email email@example.com if this is problematic)and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.

- Post registration Specialist course
- General understanding of health research in the NHS

- Post registration experience within the NHS or a similar environment.
- Experience in delivering research trials AND/OR respiratory experience

- Relevant experience in a research active environment
