Are you looking to progress to the next step in your career? Are you passionate about an individual's right to live free from domestic violence and abuse? We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated individual to join our Trust's Domestic Abuse Team as MARAC Representative / Domestic Abuse Advisor. Our Domestic Abuse Team are part of the Safeguarding Advisory Service, within Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.
The post holder will provide support to the Domestic Abuse Lead and Domestic Abuse Coordinator and will be an integral part of the Safeguarding Advisory Service, working closely with the team to help deliver our statutory safeguarding requirements.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have a responsibility for representing the Trust at local MARAC meetings, contribute to multi-agency risk management planning and ensure any actions identified for Trust colleagues are enacted. You will work closely with the Domestic Abuse Lead in identifying key themes and trends, ensuring there are sufficient systems in place to ensure we meet operational standards regarding the Trust's response to domestic abuse. The role is pivotal to complex case management, improved partnership working and quality assurance.
This is a great opportunity for an aspirational, committed and enthusiastic individual seeking to advance their career, utilise their domestic abuse knowledge and improve responses for victim/survivors, and perpetrators of domestic violence and abuse who are in the care of our Trust.
About us
As an organisation, the NHS offers a wide range of benefits including flexible working, pension contributions, market leading annual leave allowance, career progression, and regular conversations, not to mention our Blue Light Card and NHS exclusive discounts.
The benefits of working in Somerset include the idyllic countryside, with our areas of outstanding beauty and stunning coastlines. You will get to enjoy these perks whilst still only being a stone's throw away from bustling city centres like Bristol, Bath and Exeter and only two hours away from London.
There are excellent educational facilities in the area and, when compared to other regions, house prices are reasonable. You will experience the best of both in Somerset, the countryside and the cosmopolitan - there is truly something for everyone!
