Are you a Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist?
Do you have a passion for improving the lives of children and young people suffering with mental health difficulties?
If so, Coastal CAMHS may have just the opportunity for you!
We are looking for two Mental Health Practitioners to join our fantastic team.
Coastal Children Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) has recently received funding to develop and expand the fantastic services we offer to young people in our community. We work with a range of children and young people who present with a multitude of mental health problems.
We have received investment to support us to deliver specialist interventions and treatments to children and adolescents in Worthing and Chichester areas. We have a culture of support and compassion within our team and we believe that every one of our team members has a crucial part to play in the services that we provide. We will work with you to identify your career aspirations and develop a CPD plan to suit you.
Main duties of the job
This is a key and fast paced role in a busy community CAMHS team. The post holders will be required to undertake initial assessments for children and young people referred into the service, ensuring safeguarding, risk management and care planning are implemented to the highest standard, and at all times that the service offers effective patient-centred care. You will be expected to hold a diverse case load of young people with complex emotional needs which requires significant attention to detail particularly around risk management in the community, thus co-ordinating and working with external agencies such as social care and education etc. You will have the opportunity to co-facilitate groups and treatment alongside multidisciplinary team colleagues to offer evidenced based care.
About us
The post holders will receive clinical and line management supervision and support as well opportunities for in-house training. Some post-registration training would be very welcome, however the Trust is keen to develop its Mental Health Practitioners and there are lots of opportunities for CPD and being part of the wider Sussex CAMHS team through Away Days and other specialist training opportunities.
This post offers an incentive or relocation package up to the maximum of 4000 (pro rata applies and subject to terms and conditions).
