We are looking for experienced, dynamic, creative, positive and motivated Mental Health Practitioners to join our Community Mental Health Service on the Isle of Wight.

This is an exciting time to join CMHS as we are beginning to start working in a locality model, working more closely with physical health services to best support our communities in an integrated and multidisciplinary way.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team managing a caseload of people with complex mental health needs and offering evidence based interventions.

Main duties of the job

You will need to have excellent communication and engagement skills and a commitment to improving service delivery. As a member of the team you will contribute to the wider aims of the service through joint working, providing specialist consultation, training and supervision to other professionals and participation in service development/research.

In return you will have a fulfilling and varied role within a friendly and supportive team. The team is committed to providing safe, sound and supportive services. You will receive regular supervision, with opportunities to develop clinical and professional practice in line with service users needs and organisational values.

This post would suit a Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or Allied Professional, who works in a recovery-focused way.

The CMHS has a very active group of service user volunteers who support us to develop the service, co-produce outcome measures and are central to ensuring that the service we provide is recovery focused and responsive to the needs of the people who use it.

We are currently improving the service so if you want to be involved in this and influence the way our service is developed, now is a great time to join the team.

At the IOW NHS Trust we are committed to putting the safety and care of our patients first, as well as helping us to protect you and your colleagues and therefore we would recommend that you are vaccinated against COVID-19 and that you understand that we are treating COVID-19 positive patients within our services.
