An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Occupational Therapist to work within the rehabilitation division.
The post holder will play a crucial role in the leadership and implementation of the divisions Occupational Therapy provision. Supporting staff to provide a high-quality service to service users and carers. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic practitioner who has a passion for rehabilitation and a recovery focused way of working.
The role will involve supporting the senior leadership team in ensuring that the clinical delivery, professional leadership and service development of the Occupational Therapy Service across the Rehabilitation Division. The post holder will also provide clinical input into the H.E.A.R.T (Home Engagement and Rehabilitation Team).
Leading with a positive and helpful attitude is essential for the team, so you will be an excellent communicator and demonstrate the ability to motivate the teams to deliver high quality and responsive care.
The post holder will be expected to participate in the service bronze on call and bronze on site rota as required.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide day-to-day clinical, support, consultation professional leadership to the Occupational Therapy Team and MDT across the Rehabilitation Division.
The post holder will lead and support the service manager in the clinical delivery, professional leadership and service development of the Occupational Therapy Service across the Rehabilitation Division.
The post holder will lead in the development of local OT policy, service and supporting the development of OT care pathways and joint working across the rehab division, and in the interpretation of local, Trust and national policies and drivers and applying these to the OT service.
The post holder will assist and support the service and operational managers in the planning, delivery and evaluation of the division with delegated responsibility for defined projects.
The post holder will also provide clinical input into the H.E.A.R.T (Home Engagement and Rehabilitation Team) service alongside a Band 6 Occupational Therapist. The post holder will use evidence based Occupational Therapy and recovery principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions to enable service use to reach their optimum level of functioning.
