An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced individual to join the Temporary Staffing Team to deliver Safety Intervention 'MAPA' Training and other temporary worker training
You will be expected to comfortably and competently train various staff groups in Safety Intervention 'MAPA' physical intervention training and Search training (as a minimum), and manage the 'training passport' for temporary workers.
You must have a passion for enabling staff with a view to minimise physical interventions through collaborative working with individuals.
Main duties of the job
As the role is predominantly training the candidate must be an excellent communicator and have the confidence to independently teach large audiences on their own and with fellow trainers.
The successful candidate must be willing to undertake the Crisis Prevention Institutes (CPI) Safety Intervention 'MAPA' trainers course and be flexible enough to fully engage in all yearly updates (where applicable).
About us
Please note: In order to train as a CPI Safety Intervention 'MAPA' trainer the candidate will be expected to undertake approximately 7 days external training. This training is not local and may have to be conducted over differing months in different location across the country. The training programme is split into two elements Foundation followed by Advanced/Emergency. Foundation consists of 3 consecutive days training and Advanced/Emergency consists of 4 consecutive days.

Essential
- Registered Nurse (learning disabilities or mental health) or equivalent qualification in health and social care or Current Certified MAPA instructor or Be able and willing to achieve the MAPA Instructor Certification Programme at Foundation, Advanced and Emergency Level
Desirable
- Carried out a role with staff training responsibilities
- Demonstrates a knowledge of physical interventions.
- Has the skills to plan, organise and deliver staff training
