You will be educated to degree level or have achieved through practical experience in a technical construction related discipline with a wide range of highly specialised knowledge with regards to Autodesk AutoCAD and have clear evidence of continuing professional development. You will have a demonstrable track record of successfully delivering minor projects in complex environments on time and to delegated budgets, utilising NEC and/or JCT contractual frameworks, and have proven skills in effective people management, communication and understand the importance of stakeholder relationships. The successful candidate will possess knowledge of technical and regulatory standards and work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including clinicians, local authorities, design teams and contractors.

Main duties of the job

Management of AutoCAD and Drawing Library

To provide a specialist service producing AutoCAD drawings through interpretation of verbal instructions, sketches, specifications, surveys etc., including architectural & building services disciplines

Surveys & Estate Records

To provide professional and technical advice and guidance regarding AutoCAD systems and related software

Project Work

Development of various design options with clients regarding minor building works and space planning reconfigurations

Job responsibilities

The organisation and management of all CAD work and the drawing library for the Trust.

To carry out surveys, prepare drawings and specifications, submit plans for internal and external approval for minor works projects.

To produce feasibility or space utilisation drawings as part of Estates strategy and master planning projects.

To be responsible for a wide range of electronic documents, data and information relating to the Trusts Estate.

Responsible for producing and developing policies and procedures to ensure the drawing library is kept up to date with drawings in a consistent format.
