The CRHTT provides an alternative to hospital admission for those clients who can be cared for safely with intensive home treatment. Clients of the CRHTT can access Day Services, provided by a Crisis Recovery Unit, up to seven days per week. There is also access to a Crisis House, managed in partnership with Platfform, which provides respite in a staffed house for up to one week or more, depending on client need.
We are seeking individuals with excellent communication and assessment skills within the field of acute Mental Health with a minimum of 18 months post registration experience. The ability to perform detailed Risk Assessment is also an essential part of the role. The role of the nurse within Crisis Teams is extremely challenging, but also very rewarding. This opportunity to join a well-established team and develop your clinical skills is open to you.
As well as providing an alternative to hospital admission, the CRHTT supports early discharge from hospital for those patients identified as suitable.
This is a 24 hour/7 day service, so the post-holder must be willing to participate in a rota which includes night duty
Main duties of the job
The post holder is required to ensure that the team provides community psychiatric nursing care within an holistic philosophy forthose suffering with mental health problems who are in acute crisis, or to facilitate early discharge, and to support their carers. This will be facilitated in collaboration with hospital and community based multi-agency resources. The post holder will support the Crisis Resolution & Home Treatment Service by undertaking AMHP duties in weekday daytime hours
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
