We have an exciting opportunity to recruit new band 7 permanent Mental Health Practitioners non medical prescriber, to work in the Enfield Primary Care Network . The role is funded through the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS). Successful candidates must be experienced mental health practitioners and have experience of working in a Primary Care and/or Community Mental Health Team setting. The intention is to focus services around local communities and local GP practices to help rebuild and reconnect healthcare teams across the communities they serve. This practitioner role will provide targeted care according to the needs of the population by supporting the PCN clinical strategy.

This is an exciting role for nurse prescriber who is proactive and passionate about innovation and providing high-quality care to people who have been identified as in need of mental health support in a primary care setting. The practitioners will access and link with secondary mental health services and help provide a bridge between primary care and secondary mental health providers. This will make it easier for people accessing services to obtain the help they need.

Main duties of the job

The practitioner will facilitate onward access to other secondary care-based services, third sector services and link in with existing support services via the Primary Care Network.

Looking for experienced, dynamic and self-driven Clinical Pharmacists to join our ever-growing organisation.

The post holder will be an experienced Non medical prescriber who acts within their professional boundaries. They will work as part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, taking responsibility for areas of chronic disease management and undertaking clinical medication reviews.

Successful candidate must be a great team player, but capable of independent and autonomous work as well as being part of the multi-disciplinary team.

To assist in the effective delivery of the service functions and lead on clinical supervision within the team, and lead on the development of protocols, procedures and systems to integrate practice across the borough wide service.

To work cohesively with PCNs, Senior management and relevant Service Managers to provide a responsive and innovative service delivering a high-quality mental health service to the people of Barnet, Enfield or Haringey and provide clinical advice and support to other professions within the mental health care setting and external agencies.

Provide professional leadership within the PCN / GP staff in implementing evidence-based prescribing interventions.

Education and Qualification

Essential

  • RMN or SW or OT equivalent first level registration Relevant degree or post graduate diploma/equivalent level of experience Qualified as an INMP within mental health.

  • Desirable Qualified as an INMP


Experience

Essential

  • Significant clinical experience in the community and / working with GP or within GP practices. 2 Demonstrable experience at Band 6 or equivalent. 2 Experience of prescribing and undertaking medication reviews 2


Desirable

  • Requesting pathology tests and processing the results, advising patients accordingly 2


Knowledge and skills

Essential

  • Knowledge of the process necessary for effective risk assessment and management 2 Ability undertake evidence based interventions with people suffering from a range of mental health problems


Desirable

  • Knowledge of and ability to work as part of a multi-professional team as a lead clinician and role model.
