The Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) will provide a specialist service offering comprehensive assessment, treatment and care of service users who are experiencing severe mental health difficulties within both the community and district general hospital setting within Gwent.
The service will also facilitate the early discharge of those admitted to Mental Health inpatient units, through intensive but time limited intervention in the community.
This post is a fixed term/secondment for 6 months to meet the needs of the service.
If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.
Main duties of the job
An opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced mental health registrant who is highly motivated, innovative, enthusiastic and passionate about service user centred care to work in the North Gwent Crisis resolution & Home Treatment Team based at County Hospital hospital in Pontypool.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established Crisis Resolution/Home Treatment Team which provides a genuine alternative to inpatient admission. The service is continually evolving in line with the National Service Framework for mental illness and the associated AQF targets attached to Crisis Resolution/Home Treatment Teams.

You will work with the team to make positive risk management decisions for those in acute mental health crisis. You will plan and provide care in innovative ways, and support colleagues both within the team and externally. You will have the flexibility to meet the needs of the service to work shifts (including night shifts based at St Cadoc's site) and weekends, and be prepared to think creatively. The service operates 7 days a week, 365 days per year. 12 hour shift work including nights, flexible working options available.
